On the southern edge of the district
Wyke is the last part of Bradford before you reach Calderdale and Kirklees. Town Gate runs through the middle, with shops, the GP surgery and the post office, and the streets around it are a mix of stone terraces, semi-detached houses and newer estates. Judy Woods, off Station Road, gives the area a large stretch of ancient woodland on the doorstep.
Families make up a lot of our Wyke moves, often from houses with gardens, garages and lofts. If you need items brought down from a loft, we can do that where there is a fitted ladder and boarding. Sheds and outdoor furniture are quoted separately, so let us know about them early.
Motorway access and local roads
The big advantage of Wyke is the road network. The M606 runs up into Bradford, and the M62 junction at Chain Bar is close by, so moves to Leeds, Manchester or further afield start quickly. We come down from Alum Drive in BD9, about 7 miles away, using the M606.
Locally, Town Gate can be busy at peak times, and some older terraced streets are narrow with cars parked on both sides. Newer estates often have tight turning heads. We check access before the day and agree where the van can park, so loading starts on time within your three-hour arrival slot.
Moving further afield from Wyke
Because the motorways are so close, plenty of Wyke customers move out of the area. Our long distance removals service covers moves anywhere in the UK, with one team handling loading, the drive and unloading. Goods in transit cover up to £50,000 is available to buy, and every quote is free and valid for three months.
