Removals in Wibsey
Wibsey still feels like a village, with its own shops, library and park on the hill south of the city above Odsal. Homes range from stone terraces near the centre to semis and larger estates towards Buttershaw, and the M606 starts just down the road.

Moving home in Wibsey
Wibsey has kept its village centre, with shops around High Street and Fair Road, the library on North Road and Wibsey Park on the edge. The older streets near the centre are stone terraces, some with cellars and steps up from the pavement. Further out, towards Buttershaw and Reevy, there are larger estates of semis and council-built houses, many with gardens and driveways. It is a popular area for families, and many of our jobs here are three-bedroom houses with a loft and a shed.
Streets, parking and access
Wibsey is on a hill, so some streets are steep and a few terraces have flights of steps to the front door. Older roads near the centre are narrow with parked cars, while estate roads further out usually give more room. Odsal Stadium, home of the Bradford Bulls, sits at the bottom of the hill, and roads nearby get busy on match and event days. We check the fixture list when booking and plan the route to suit.
If you have a loft, it needs a fitted ladder and boarding before we can work in it, and sheds and outdoor furniture are quoted separately.
Getting here from our base
Our base on Alum Drive is about 5 miles away, across the city centre. The bigger advantage here is the motorway. The M606 starts at Odsal and joins the M62 at junction 26, which makes Wibsey a handy starting point for long distance removals to Manchester, the Midlands or the South. For local moves, customers often head to Low Moor or Great Horton. Our Bradford removals team gives a 3-hour arrival time slot and a free quote that stays valid for 3 months.

Moving in Wibsey: common questions
Do events at Odsal Stadium affect moves in Wibsey?
They can. Roads around Odsal get much busier when the Bradford Bulls play at home or the stadium hosts an event. If your date clashes with a fixture, tell us and we will plan the route and timing around it.
Is Wibsey a good starting point for a long distance move?
Yes. The M606 starts at Odsal and joins the M62 at junction 26, so we can be on the motorway within minutes of loading. That helps for moves towards Manchester, Leeds or further south.
Can you pack for us?
Yes. We can pack the whole house or just the fragile items such as glass, china and pictures. Mention it when you ask for a quote so we can include materials and time.
Where can I take rubbish before moving?
Dealburn Road Household Waste Recycling Centre in Low Moor is the nearest council tip. You need a valid permit, and it is closed on Mondays, when Bowling Back Lane is the nearest alternative.
