Moving home in Eccleshill
Eccleshill was a separate village before Bradford grew out to meet it, and the old centre around Institute Road still has stone cottages, terraces and small yards. Around it are streets of semis and terraces from the 20th century, larger estates such as Ravenscliffe, and some newer homes. Streets, parking and access
Harrogate Road and Bolton Road are the main routes, with buses and plenty of traffic at peak times, so we prefer to load from side streets where we can. The old village streets are narrow and some have steep sections, as Eccleshill sits on high ground looking back over the city. Estate roads further out are usually wider, though cul-de-sacs can be tight for a large van.
A few practical points help the day go smoothly. If you have a loft to clear, it needs a fitted ladder and boarding before we can work in it.
