Moving home in Frizinghall

Frizinghall is small but varied. Most streets off Keighley Road are rows of stone terraces, many with cellars, and there are larger Victorian houses and semis on the rising ground towards Heaton. Closer to Shipley there are flats and some newer homes. Lister Park and Bradford Grammar School sit at the city end, and Frizinghall station has trains into Bradford Forster Square and out to Shipley. Many moves here are one or two bedrooms, which suits our man and van service, though we bring a full crew for family houses too.

Streets, parking and access

Keighley Road carries buses and heavy traffic, so stopping outside a house on the main road is rarely sensible. We normally load from a side street and carry a short distance, or time the job for quieter parts of the day. The side streets are narrow, with parked cars on both sides, and a few climb steeply up towards Heaton. Canal Road runs along the valley floor nearby, which is handy for getting out towards Shipley and the Aire Valley.

School runs make a difference here too. Frizinghall Primary and Bradford Grammar School both bring extra traffic at the start and end of the day, so for houses close to either we aim to load outside those times.

Getting here from our base

Our base on Alum Drive is about 1.5 miles away, a few minutes by road. That makes Frizinghall a good fit for short-notice and small jobs. Customers here often move on to Shipley or Heaton, or come the other way from Manningham. Our Bradford removals service covers the whole district and long distance moves too, with a free quote that stays valid for 3 months.

Moving in Frizinghall: common questions

Can the van park on Keighley Road?

Keighley Road is a main road with bus stops and steady traffic, so we usually load from the nearest side street instead. If your home faces the main road, tell us when you ask for a quote and we will plan where the van can stand.

Can you do a small move with one van and two people?

Yes. For a one-bedroom flat, a room or a few items, our man and van service is often the simplest option. We will suggest the right van and team size when we quote.

Do the local schools affect moving times?

Frizinghall Primary on Salisbury Road and Bradford Grammar School on Keighley Road are both close by, so roads are busier at drop-off and pick-up. We try to avoid parking near school gates at those times.

What if my completion date moves?

Under our terms there is no charge if you cancel more than 72 hours before the move, apart from any materials. Quotes stay valid for 3 months, so you can simply rebook a new date.
